Koopmans Group represents both plaintiffs and defendants on a wide-range of issues at both the trial and appellate levels.

The firm's founder Ryan Koopmans has represented clients in state and federal trial courts and has participated in 30 Iowa Supreme Court cases and several other appellate proceedings covering a wide range of issues, ranging from the standards for monopolization under Iowa’s antitrust laws to the constitutional limits of punitive damage awards.  He also has extensive experience representing clients in administrative proceedings, including rate-making proceedings before the Iowa Utilities Board, contested-case proceedings before the Iowa Insurance Division, and bid protests before the Iowa Department of Administrative Services. Ryan also serves as national coordinating counsel, where he manages attorneys across the country to create a consistent and effective legal strategy across multiple jurisdictions.
